Take It Outside K-6

The Spring Rivers Foundation Outdoor Education Team is dedicated to leading the way in enhancing the educational experiences for children throughout Shasta County with a strong outdoor education program for our youth.

These local scientists and teachers are working towards a shared goal—to build a self-sustaining outdoor education program that immerses children in exciting, outdoor educational settings to help them better understand real-world science, inspires children to make exciting connections in other disciplines, and encourages outdoor physical activity and exploration. With the implementation of the standards-based Take-It-Outside outdoor education activity collections, our education team is working to make this goal a reality.
