Take It Outside
Fourth Grade

Fun with animal adaptations, plants, outdoor nature art, rocks, seeds, and data collection! It's great to be an outdoor fourth grader!

While participating in the Take-It-Outside fourth grade activities, students will learn about cold weather animal adaptations in Animal Anti-Freeze, study local plants and work to identify local herbivores in Mystery Marauders, study the natural world around them and recreate it in drawings, learn about rock types during the Rock Hunt Activity, plot data on maps of the local area, and learn about seed structure and dispersal while designing original seeds to be dispersed in the area.

Let's engage in some educational outdoor fun!

The Fourth Grade Take-It-Outside Activities address portions of the Life Sciences, Earth Sciences, and Investigation and Experimentation California Science Standards.
